ASAWISHHs FEEDing Pakistan Lays Foundation for 150 Million World Bank Aquaculture Investment

Aquatic-sourced protein is the food of the future and we look forward to finding ways to work with ASA/WISHH in the years ahead.”Implemented between 2011-17, WISHH’s FEEDing Pakistan project forged public-private partnerships that led to local investment and activities that supported the continuation of this work after the USDA-project concluded.The result is sustained business growth in the feed and aquaculture sector in Pakistan that realized the benefits of floating fish feed made with U.S. soy.According to USDA, soy-based fish feed production grew from zero to 8000 metric tons in 2017. The U.S. Soybean Export Council (USSEC) now leads the U.S. soy industry’s work in Pakistan. The country is home to the fifth largest population in the world and continues to be an important U.S. soy customer.last_img read more
